Choose carefully, renew on time and manage securely.

Your first impression starts with your domain.

Your domain should make your business easy to find and remember. Choose a short, clear name that people can spell after hearing it. Avoid confusing letters, unnecessary numbers and long combinations of words. Think beyond your current services and consider the directions your brand might grow into.

Before registering, say the name aloud, ask others to spell it and research similar brands. Availability does not establish trademark suitability. Consider how the extension fits your audience, together with the initial registration price and the renewal cost for future years.

Keep track of your domain’s renewal date.

A domain registration lasts for a limited period, and keeping track of its renewal date is your responsibility. Your website and domain-based email may be disrupted when it expires. Set calendar reminders in advance, keep your account contact details current and check renewal notifications regularly.

If you use automatic renewal, ensure that your payment method is valid and the renewal actually completes. Do not assume a first-year promotion will apply again. Recovery conditions vary by extension after expiration; additional fees may apply, and you could lose the domain.
